It is important for everyone who works in foster care to understand attachment and the traumatic impact of abuse, separation and loss. This course enables learners to gain this necessary knowledge, and also describes appropriate interventions to assist children and young people to recover. It emphasises the importance of teamwork in dealing with childhood trauma
