• Where is the training held?

Most training courses are best held face-to-face, but we have designed our courses to be as effective online, or a blend of both. Make contact with us to chat about how we can tailor a course for you.

  • Do you offer discounts?

On occasion we are able to offer our funding free to whānau in need thanks to our generous philanthropic funders, and Authentic Communication (our social enterprise). Please make contact to see if any funding is currently available.

Discounts can be arranged for groups, or community organisations. Please make contact to see what discount is available to you.

  • What is online learning like?

Online learning is easy, if not easier than a traditional academic situation. By studying an online course, the usual boundaries caused by location and time constraints are eliminated, meaning you are free to study where and when you want at your own pace. Of course, you will need to be able to self-manage your time and be organised, but with our help, you’ll soon find yourself settling into a comfortable rhythm of study

  • What computer skills do I need for my course?

You don't need to be a computer expert to succeed with our online training, but you should be comfortable typing, using the internet and be capable of using common software (such as Microsoft word).

  • How long will you have access to the online course?

There is no time limit for completing this course, it can be studied in your own time at your own pace. Once you have purchased this course you will have unlimited lifetime access, meaning you can access this course whenever you want

  • Do I need to pay in advance?

Yes, once you have paid for your training you will receive an email with all the information you will need to access your training or attend a training course.

  • Can I obtain the course materials without attending the course?

Course materials are provided only to those who attend courses.

  • How do I enrol in a course?

We do not have an online booking system set up quite yet. Bookings can be made over the phone, or by email – hello@nzsst.org.nz

  • Can courses be taught at my site?

It is possible to set up classes in additional sites based on demand. To arrange a private class, please contact us at hello@nzsst.org.nz. Courses off-site will be subject to a change in prices.

  • Are there penalties for cancelling a course?

Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days prior to start of class will receive a full refund or be able to transfer the fee to another course. No credit or refund will be given for any no-show or course registration cancelled less than 7 calendar days prior to a class date. If a registered participant is unable to attend the course, a substitute is welcome to take their place.
